Pet Sitter and Dog Walker Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. As a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our furry clients, including walking dogs, feeding, grooming, and providing enrichment activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Walk dogs for 30 minutes at a time, ensuring their physical and mental well-being
  • Feed and provide fresh water for pets, as well as administer medication if necessary
  • Provide grooming and enrichment activities, such as playtime and cuddles
  • Take adorable pictures of pets and send visit reports to clients
  • Communicate with our team via Slack and complete visit reports

Requirements:

  • Physical ability to sit, walk dogs, climb stairs, bend down, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be based within our service area, with a reliable registered/fully insured vehicle and a valid Driver's License
  • Have a smartphone with photo/video/GPS capability and be able to operate one
  • Be available for 10-20 hours per week, with potential for more if desired
  • Be available year-round, with a commitment to consistency and reliability
  • Be comfortable walking dogs in all types of weather, including rain and extreme heat
  • Must adore animals and be willing to care for both cats and dogs
  • Be able to pass a background check
