Pet Sitter and Dog Walker Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. As a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our clients' pets while they are away or unavailable.

Responsibilities:

  • Walking dogs for 30 minutes at a time
  • Caring for cats and dogs
  • Feeding and providing fresh water
  • Cleaning up after pets
  • Providing medications if needed
  • Loving and providing TLC and belly rubs
  • Driving to appointments and transporting dogs when needed
  • Using our mobile app to check in and check out of each appointment
  • Completing a visit report with pictures to let clients know how their pets are doing
  • Communicating with our team via Slack

Requirements:

  • Physical ability to sit, walk dogs, climb stairs, bend down, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be based within our service area
  • Have a reliable registered/fully insured vehicle and a valid Driver's License
  • Have a smartphone with photo/video/GPS capability and be able to operate one
  • Be available for 10-20 hours per week
  • Be available year-round
  • Be comfortable walking dogs in all types of weather
  • Must adore animals
  • Must be OK caring for both cats and dogs
  • Be able to pass a background check
