The Catering Coordination Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the comprehensive management of food preparation and presentation for various catering functions and within the Food and Nutrition sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support the preparation of culinary items for special occasions in both catering and the primary kitchen.
  • Assess forthcoming events, manage inventory levels, procure necessary food supplies, and revise event orders to guarantee precision.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between the food and nutrition services division, conference center personnel, and event planning teams.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Certification in Food Safety/Sanitation from Allegheny County.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume food production.

Desirable Qualifications

  • An Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts is advantageous.
