Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and managing a classroom to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Help plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster development in line with NAEYC philosophy.
  • Act as a positive role model, interacting with children in a respectful and encouraging manner.
  • Develop strong connections with parents and communicate regularly to support each child's growth.
  • Maintain classroom records and support overall Center operations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of NYS child care regulations and NAEYC guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with children, co-workers, and parents.
  • Creativity, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and practice to meet the needs of the program.
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) and a commitment to fostering children's development.
