Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery parts, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure efficient production of high-quality food products and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, detailing replacements and repairs, and track inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed, and provide training and support to team members on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in food manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
