Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator II Medical Assistant

Stanford Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator II Medical Assistant to join our team. As a foundational level, the PCC II is expected to learn and apply job skills, policies, and procedures to complete moderate assignments and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop clinical expertise in assigned areas to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Record keeping and protocol compliance, including maintaining temperature logs and ensuring workplace safety and infection prevention.
  • Perform patient care duties, including vital sign measurement, rooming, lab drawing, and assisting providers with medication reconciliation.
  • Handle check-in/out, virtual rooming for providers, vaccine administration, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
  • Manage weekly clinic preparation, clinic area stocking, medication, and supply ordering.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one of the following: certificate of completion from a medical assisting program, completion of medical assistant training by a licensed physician or podiatrist, or certification as a medical assistant through a Medical Board of California-approved certifying organization.
  • At least one year of overall experience, including external experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing regulations.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job.
  • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in high-volume and stressful situations.
