About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician to join our team at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, quality control, preventative maintenance, minor equipment repairs, inventory control, and statistical compilation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, laboratory education, new employee training, and proficiency testing.
  • Ensure specimens are obtained and processed in accordance with laboratory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with care providers and other team members.
  • Support organizational priorities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree or Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, or a chemical, physical, or biological science degree.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification within a specific area, i.e. M(ASCP), H(ASCP), C(ASCP), is preferred.
