Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Sensor Power and Analog Design (SPAD) Department at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power conversion systems and control systems for our cutting-edge projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement power system designs that meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Design, analyze, test, and document power conversion circuitry, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power electronics and control systems, and apply this knowledge to enhance our department's capabilities
  • Address production issues related to existing designs, and implement corrective actions to prevent similar issues in the future
  • Present technical data to program leadership and customers, effectively communicating complex technical information
  • Lead teams in achieving project goals, and drive personal and team technical growth through mentorship and training
  • May be required to travel to various locations to support project needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field
  • At least 8 years of experience in power system design and related areas
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSPICE and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Hardware development experience in a DoD environment
  • Ability to lead technical teams
  • Knowledge of test methods for electronics components
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
