Job Summary

The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a qualified candidate for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position in Spanish. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field.

Responsibilities
  1. Teach assigned classes in Spanish, including Conversational Spanish, Elementary Spanish, and Spanish for Native Speakers.
  2. Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
  3. Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the field of Spanish language and literature.
  4. Participate in faculty governance, including accreditation and student co-curricular activities.
  5. Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean.
Requirements
  1. Master's degree in Spanish or a related field.
  2. Equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
