Job Overview

The future of intelligence is being developed, operated, and delivered at HII. HII-Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is currently seeking a Mid-level Test Engineer with experience in integrated training systems (ITS) to design, develop, and implement testing methodologies and equipment. The chosen candidate will contribute to the Integrated Training Systems-Systems Engineering contract for the ITS In-Service Engineering Agent located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement testing methodologies and equipment.

• Oversee the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.

• Organize and coordinate the labor, schedules, and equipment necessary for testing and evaluating standard and specialized devices.

• Provide the test area with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be conducted.

• Compile data and identify changes needed in testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

• Responsible for testing all customer samples and conducting special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of electronic media, local area networks, and associated accessories. Execute additional duties as assigned by government leads.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
  • 0 years of experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience, including nine years of testing experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a COMTIA Security Plus certification within 6 months.
  • Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) and Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) experience.
  • Must possess a SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ship's Self Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems.
  • Experience with Advanced Training Domain (ATD) Integrated Training Systems.
Physical Requirements

Work environment may include office, industrial, or shipboard settings. Must be capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variations. Lifting and moving materials should not exceed the guidelines set for one-man lifts.
