Position Summary:

This senior position is designed to support the Supply Chain Diversification Team on a worldwide scale. This team is dedicated to facilitating the company's supply chain transitions to new regions and nations. The primary objective is to comprehend, assess, and provide compliance advice to various business units regarding how these transitions will affect downstream supply chains in terms of costs, lead times, compliance, marking, and labeling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Concentrate on US origin and manufacturing regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on Supply Chain Compliance matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tools and solutions for origin determination and communication.
  • Engage with various IT systems and software to create automated solutions that enhance compliance and cost-efficiency (monitor origin changes over time and apply Free Trade Agreements).
  • Clarify legal processes, marking, and system impact requirements to operational teams.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and supply chains to ascertain the Country of Origin for both export and import.
  • Work alongside regional teams to ensure all trade-related issues are incorporated into analyses and feedback.
  • Design and troubleshoot systems and processes that support origin determination.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of US customs regulations, particularly regarding origin (Country of Origin determination, marking, Free Trade Agreements, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and, if necessary, learn multi-regulatory cross-country requirements.
  • Robust business insight with a strategic mindset and the ability to see the broader context.
  • Extensive experience in project and process management.
  • Capability to influence across various functional teams.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven capacity to learn and assimilate complex processes in a multifaceted work setting.
  • Flexibility to adjust to rapidly evolving circumstances.
  • Willingness to learn the technical aspects of Trade Compliance (Origin, Classification) and their impact on business operations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of meeting stringent deadlines.
  • This role necessitates a high level of inquiry and an understanding of end-to-end supply chains.
  • Experience with systems (EDI, SAP/other ERP) and project management is advantageous.
