Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Expert to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper account reconciliation.
About the Role:
This is a 6-month contract position that requires excellent organizational and time-management skills, as well as strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable or a related field and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies for all billing activities.
- Collections and Customer Follow-Up: Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and initiate follow-ups on overdue payments. Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to resolve payment issues and ensure timely collections.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and apply payments appropriately. Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of receivables.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports. Provide management with updates on outstanding invoices and collections progress.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries related to invoices, statements, and payment discrepancies. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or account issues efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency. Stay updated on best practices and industry standards in accounts receivable management.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related role is required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or related areas is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
