Radiology Technologist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics SouthEast. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiographs and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in clinic with patient care activities and other staff members with care of patients in producing high-quality radiographs.
- Enter patient information into the medical management system and complete administrative duties as required.
- Carry out radiology requisitions and views, using radiographic technique and PACS as needed.
- Assist patients in getting into positions required to get the radiographs needed, with occasional need to lift the patient.
- Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Stock necessary supplies and use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Assist and provide direct training and supervision to student technologists.
- Ensure equipment is in working order and report any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Provide backup support to Medical Assistants, including rooming patients, transcribing, entering tests and procedures, EMR documentation, reviewing initial vital signs, assisting with minor procedures, and ensuring all equipment and exam rooms are sterilized and clean/stocked.
- One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
- One year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of coursework in radiologic technology required for certification and licensure.
- Current ARRT certification or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) certification required.
- Current FL state licensure required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Knowledge of radiographic technique, PACS, and musculoskeletal anatomy required.
- Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
