We are seeking a skilled Diaphragm Press Operator to join our team at Altamira Material Solutions in Tomball, TX.

Precision Fluorocarbon Inc. is a leading manufacturer of custom plastic components, specializing in compression molded PTFE, thermally formed PTFE diaphragms, custom, and machined plastic components. PFI produces consistently precise and uniform plastic products for a wide range of industries including aerospace, medical, motorsports, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, pump, semiconductor, and valve. PFI has extensive knowledge and experience working with various types of plastics, ensuring the highest quality and customization for their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run Diaphragm, Clicker, and Hydromet Press machines accurately and in a timely manner to produce high-quality molds and/or parts in accordance with specifications, planned processes, times, and quality.
  • Weigh resin containers accurately and record information on Inventory Log Sheets, and accurately report amount used for Work Orders.
  • Record number of blanks taken on appropriate Inventory Log.
  • Mold parts accurately (conforms to specifications and processes as recorded on Work Orders) and in a timely manner.
  • Properly die cut parts (conforms to specifications and processes as recorded on Work Orders) and in a timely manner.
  • Properly and accurately clock in and out of work and jobs.
  • Properly and accurately record completed diaphragms and / or molds.
  • Properly and accurately record scrap / waste.
  • Maintain work area neat and clean.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Attain goal for Machine Hours versus Payroll Hours.
  • Attain goal for Actual Hours versus Planned Hours on Work Orders.
  • Attain goal for scrap and waste.
  • Load ovens as needed.
  • Properly handle, use, operate, and relocate / store all tooling and dies used.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures in department.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and maintain accurate records and job history

Requirements:

  • Accredited High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three months' experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach overhead.
  • Work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
  • Lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
