This role is situated within the Environmental Management Services Division of a medical facility dedicated to serving veterans. Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor or their representative, the incumbent will engage in a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
The Custodial Services Specialist is responsible for executing a comprehensive range of cleaning activities in both patient and non-patient areas. Duties include:
- Performing floor maintenance, including sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing.
- Washing walls, windows, and blinds to ensure cleanliness.
- Sanitizing and disinfecting restrooms, ensuring all fixtures are clean and well-maintained.
- Managing waste disposal, including the transport of refuse and recycling materials.
- Replenishing supplies such as paper towels and soap in all designated areas.
This position may require flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to various assignments across the facility.
Work Environment:
The work is primarily conducted indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. Safety precautions and personal protective equipment may be necessary to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
