Job Summary

Spaulding Hospital Cape Cod is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. You will work in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team to educate patients, families, and others, and to direct and supervise support personnel. You will also be responsible for managing technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect an understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
Revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
Maintain complete and timely documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
Complete additional department, organization, or network activities as established.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Basic skills in math and computer science.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.
Ability to safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
Computer proficiency required, with Microsoft office applications preferred.
Ability to maintain a variable work schedule to provide patient care, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
High level of service delivery, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
Attention to detail.
