Job Summary:

As a Transportation Specialist with the Douglas County School District, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from schools and various district activities. This position requires a strong commitment to developing and maintaining good community relations among students, parents, and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport students to and from schools and district activities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of buses and transportation equipment
  • Collaborate with district staff to develop and implement transportation policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Valid commercial driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
  • May be required to work in a variety of weather conditions
