Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostics.
- Repair and diagnose complex issues with diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete repair orders and meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
- Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
- Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
