Key Responsibilities:As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your duties will include:
- Conducting routine maintenance and preventive care on various vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnosing issues and performing repairs on heavy-duty machinery.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment such as loaders, forklifts, and similar machinery.
- Possession of personal tools necessary for the job.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and construction machinery.
- Ability to read and comprehend English, including electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience in welding is essential.
- A clean driving record and a valid state driver's license.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as a Journeyperson or Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong organizational skills to manage paperwork effectively.
- Capability to work in a warehouse setting with moderate noise and heat exposure.
- Ability to operate safely in a dynamic environment where tasks may change frequently.
- Bi-lingual candidates (Spanish) are preferred.
