Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Bobcat of Huntsville. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on our construction equipment in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify equipment issues and determine the cause of failure.
  • Perform effective repairs and maintenance on equipment components in the field, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Recondition and repair equipment and components as needed.
  • Plan and sequence repair methods to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Order parts and materials required for repairs and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards and meet cosmetic appearance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Record time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Report daily records from the field, even when not returning to the company.
  • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Present a professional appearance and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, reflecting respect and integrity in all interactions.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience as an equipment technician.
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment with minimal supervision.
  • Contribution to a team-oriented spirit, cooperating with parts personnel and other service technicians.
  • Spanish language skills are valued.
  • Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a field service technician is preferred.
  • Clean driving history is required.
