About the Role:
Daniel Defense Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of production staff and ensuring the efficient and effective production of our high-quality weapon systems and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production staff to achieve daily production goals and targets.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve quality.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure a safe working environment.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
- Participate in environmental, health, and safety training events and discussions.
- Perform machining and production processes as needed.
- Work with teams and departments to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Contribute to the company's standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment, and a positive work environment.
- Utilize Lean tools to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in manufacturing or a related field, plus 3 years of previous manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven record of experience and professionalism, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of leadership, team members, and customers.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience with FMEA's, SPC, Control Plans, 8D, and other quality tools, with knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Competent with computer software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work with our company's values.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or company policy.
