Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Team Member at El Pollo Loco. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner, ensuring a positive experience and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures, including the preparation of various menu items, shredding chicken, and condiment packing.
  • Order Processing: Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Cash Handling: Handle payment and cash transactions accurately and professionally, following all El Pollo Loco cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Diligently follow all food safety, food rotation, and sanitation policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred but not required.
  • Certifications: Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.
  • Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
