Wastewater Treatment Specialist

The Wastewater Treatment Technician is a key member of our operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater. This role requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct routine operational and maintenance duties, including sampling and testing of wastewater.
- Assist with the offloading of waste streams and chemical treatment products.
- Manage bulk chemical transfers and load/unload bulk tankers.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform cleanings of wastewater process equipment.
- Monitor the operation of all wastewater processing equipment and maintain its operational performance.
- Identify and report operating anomalies to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
- Direct and assist with the operation of the sludge transfer and dewatering systems.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests to evaluate wastewater samples, as directed.
- Wastewater certification preferred.
- 1 year experience as Waste Water Treatment Technician.
- High School diploma/GED. Formal training in higher level of education preferred.
- Ability to install and operate remediation systems, including pumps, filters, vessels, and media change-outs.
- Shop work experience, including cleaning and maintaining shop and equipment, operating heavy equipment (forklifts, Vac-Trucks, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze.
- Highly dedicated worker with a sense of teamwork.
- Ability to thrive on hard work and demonstrated pride in solutions-oriented results.
- Candidate must have the ability to work in outdoor elements/weather.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear a full face respirator as needed.
