Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a qualified Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Lewisville, TX. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in the DFW area, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport freight to various locations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies
  • Load and unload freight as needed, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
  • At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
