Job Title: Substitute Counselor

Manor ISD is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Counselor to join our team. As a Substitute Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing their academic, personal, and social concerns.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance program, incorporating career development, student appraisal, and counseling procedures.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Supervise and mentor assigned counseling aides and clerical employees.
  • Participate in professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in guidance and counseling.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling or related field.
  • Valid Texas counseling certificate.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
