The Housekeeping Team Leader plays a crucial role in managing and directing housekeeping activities within assigned areas, while also stepping in to perform the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular evaluations of Room Attendants' work in assigned sections to ensure adherence to quality standards and efficiency benchmarks.
  • In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, assess all guest rooms and communicate availability to the Front Office.
  • Organize end-of-day procedures for floors, ensuring thorough cleaning and restocking of housekeeping carts.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily assignments and ensure timely submission.
  • Oversee key control and manage Lost and Found operations.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of service areas and delegate daily tasks to team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments through paging and radio systems.
  • Provide updates on the status of out-of-order rooms and initiate repair work orders as necessary.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new housekeeping personnel.
  • Occasionally perform room cleaning duties as required.
  • Ensure regular completion of cleaning projects to maintain high standards.
  • Prioritize exceptional guest satisfaction in all housekeeping operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests.
  • Physical capability to stand for the duration of the shift.

Compensation: $22 per hour
