As a Valuation Operations Specialist at Capital Group, you will be instrumental in our valuation processes.

Your key responsibilities will encompass the preparation and examination of daily and periodic valuation activities, evaluating vendor performance, and delivering monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc valuation reports to internal committees. You will conduct comprehensive valuation assessments, primarily focusing on equities and foreign exchange rates, ensuring precision and adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

What we seek in a candidate:

  • A solid understanding of securities, financial markets, and valuation methodologies (such as discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and spread pricing).
  • General familiarity with mutual funds, the investment management sector, and/or GAAP experience.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, particularly in pricing, including conducting due diligence.
  • Proficiency in validating third-party vendor pricing on a daily basis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret company financial statements and assess the implications of company, industry, or market news on fair value.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality in work deliverables, with experience in providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
  • A passion for mentoring, process analysis, and project completion, serving as a role model for others.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex ideas and processes to diverse audiences, including senior business leaders and oversight committees.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $95,066 to $152,106. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, as well as Capital's annual profitability bonus. Furthermore, Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings to a retirement plan.
