POSITION SUMMARY:


The Registered Nurse is dedicated to delivering Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by showcasing leadership through the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with the standards of professional nursing practice.

Individualized nursing care is provided, taking into account cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Exhibits effective and safe clinical practice along with proficient medication administration.
Delegates and supervises patient care activities appropriately within the healthcare environment.
Facilitates effective communication with other healthcare team members to foster a collaborative care atmosphere.
Coordinates an interdisciplinary care plan based on the latest evidence-based practices.

Records all nursing care, changes in patient condition, responses to therapies, treatments, procedures, and referrals in patient records to comply with standards.

Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and adaptability.
Provides education to patients, families, and/or caregivers as outlined in the care plan.
Delivers services to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their diverse needs, expectations, age, culture, and individual preferences.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. An Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required; a BSN is highly preferred.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in Florida or endorsement.
  • Certification: o Must possess a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to the start date and maintain it. o Must have a current AHA ACLS certification prior to the start date and maintain it. o Additional certification(s) as required by the specific unit. Experience: Previous critical care experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
