Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is a distinguished provider of IT solutions, and we are in search of a Senior System Administrator. This is a full-time role that plays a crucial part in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and sustain the organization's server and network architecture
- Execute system administration duties including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers and network apparatus
- Assess system performance to guarantee optimal availability and dependability
- Enforce security protocols and ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to facilitate projects and initiatives
- Offer technical support and mentorship to junior system administrators
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and propose enhancements for system efficiency
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration
- Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledgeable in network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Understanding of security best practices and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
