**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide clinical supervision and guidance to LVN staff, ensuring compliance with established protocols, policies, and procedures
* Collaborate with faculty, residents, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and safety
* Coordinate and assign tasks and duties to nursing and supplemental staff based on established protocols and procedures
* Conduct evaluations, maintain staff competencies, and provide training and development opportunities
* Ensure adherence to all applicable policies and standards
* Plan and adjust staffing to maintain efficient and adequate operations
* Maintain the practice environment and manage the Quality Assurance process

**Requirements:**

* Active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification
* Active CPR BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
* 3+ years of LVN experience
* Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills as needed
* Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician
* Knowledge of symptomatology of common and life-threatening medical problems
* Interpersonal skills to maintain a cooperative working environment
* Proficiency in computer skills and ability to use computerized patient care systems
* Knowledge of safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
* Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information
* Ability to lead a team and maintain high-quality standards

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of instruments and supplies for physical examinations and procedures
* Supervisory experience
* Spanish speaking skills
