Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hospital pharmacy and/or IV admixture experience, with chemotherapy experience being a plus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Compounding IV medications in a cleanroom environment according to USP 797 standards.
  • Restocking Automated dispensing devices and Carousels.
  • Filling Floor stock requisitions.
  • Completing expired medication inspections.
  • Answering phones to assist in dispensing questions.
  • Ensuring all medications are properly delivered.
  • Breaking down wholesaler orders, completing receipt documentation, and stocking in designated locations.
  • Maintaining organization of storage areas/storerooms and ensuring ordering replacement stock as required based on patient usage and par levels.
  • Functionally using the hospital information systems.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Hospital pharmacy and/or IV admixture experience.
  • Current NJ registration (or eligibility on hire).
  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) or greater than 10 years hospital or equivalent pharmacy experience.
  • Completion of basic pharmaceutical calculations.
