Cooper University Health Care is a leading healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Medication Preparation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of medications for our patients.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Experience in hospital pharmacy settings is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will be able to register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy within 10 days of employment and become an active registered Pharmacy Technician within 180 days of hire.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing medications, compounding IV medications, and maintaining the organization of storage areas under pharmacist supervision. You will also restock Automated dispensing devices and Carousels, fill Floor stock requisitions, complete expired medication inspections, and ensure all medications are properly delivered.

To succeed in this role, you must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and be certified by the Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB). Basic pharmaceutical calculations are a must, and prior experience working with hospital information systems is preferred.
