Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cooper University Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician - Medication Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of patient medication lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately validate prior-to-admission medication lists to ensure patient safety and optimal health outcomes.
  • Take thorough medication and allergy histories from patients to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate critical information to the healthcare team in a clear and concise manner, facilitating timely and effective decision-making.
  • Document and correct patient medication list information in EPIC, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • CURRENT New Jersey registration (or eligibility upon hire) to practice as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • The ability to complete basic pharmaceutical calculations with precision and accuracy.
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent, demonstrating strong foundational knowledge and skills.
  • NJ Pharmacy Technician Certification (NJ PHARTEC), showcasing your commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits

This role is estimated to have an annual salary range of $65,000-$85,000 based on relevant experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.
