OPPORTUNITY

We are currently looking for WIC Breastfeeding Support Specialists to become integral members of our Care Team. The role involves offering education and assistance to pregnant and breastfeeding individuals enrolled in the WIC program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver tailored breastfeeding education and support based on individual participant needs.
  • Guide and mentor fellow team members.
  • Provide continuous counseling and instruction on breastfeeding-related topics.
  • Assess and identify the needs of participants.
  • Assist in the provision of breastfeeding aids.
  • Stay informed on the latest breastfeeding research and practices.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

SCHEDULE / LOCATION

  • Full-time position with varied hours.
  • Work at the designated WIC, Behavioral Health, and Dental Care site.

COMPENSATION / STATUS

  • Hourly wage ranging from $17.81 to $20.06; potential to earn up to $23.04.
  • This position is part of a Union / Bargaining Unit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
