About the Role:

In this position, you will play a vital role in key accounting operations and contribute to the generation of precise financial statements that inform strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End Close:
    • Assist in the month-end closing process and the preparation of financial statements.
    • Reconcile, analyze, and review the general ledger to ensure accurate financial positions.
    • Prepare journal entries in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
    • Oversee Ovative's corporate card program and conduct related reconciliations.
    • Examine client contracts and develop invoicing and GAAP-compliant revenue recognition schedules.
    • Lead the accounts payable process, including vendor management and bill creation utilizing advanced OCR and AI technology.
  • Reporting:
    • Collaborate with the FP&A team and business unit leaders to validate and monitor expenses, ensuring alignment with team budgets.
    • Generate actuals versus forecast variance reports and provide insights to enhance forecasting accuracy.
    • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis, investigating issues as required.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records to support annual audit and tax processes.
    • Work alongside the Controller to establish robust accounting processes that ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Culture and Leadership:
    • Act as a collaborative team member and be prepared to undertake ad hoc tasks to support the team.
    • Instill best practices in organizational processes drawn from previous accounting experiences.
    • Foster a transparent, trustworthy, and ethical work environment by remaining engaged, curious, and accountable.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or progress towards it is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering impactful results.
  • Self-motivated individual who excels in managing multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with NetSuite and MS Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) is a plus.
Compensation Transparency:

At Ovative, we provide a clear view into three essential components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position is inclusive of an annual bonus, with actual offers made based on relevant experience and anticipated impact.

For our Analyst roles, compensation ranges from $48,000 to $72,000, inclusive of a 10% bonus.
