Location Description: Our lakeside resort is a unique destination for vacations, meetings, weddings, reunions, and romantic getaways. Our rustic yet elegant Adirondack-style lodge and cottage collection is perched alongside quiet lake waters and the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, surrounded by 1,900 picture-perfect park acres.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to guests with check-in and check-out, while being knowledgeable of resort operations to inform guests about our amenities and services.
- Greet guests at the front desk and assist with check-in and check-out using the computer.
- Answer guest inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner, directing guests to the appropriate locations.
- Provide friendly and courteous telephone manners to guests and coworkers.
- Maintain knowledge about functions going on inside the hotel and information to pass along to guests.
- Enter messages and wake-up calls onto guest accounts.
- Accurately answer reservation calls and check future availability.
- Adjust errors and correct discrepancies on guest accounts.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns, involving a supervisor or manager when necessary.
- Work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand, including holidays.
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality International, maintaining a high level of professionalism and teamwork.
- Assess and offer creative suggestions and recommendations to guest requests.
- Maintain accuracy of bank computations and understand daily bank counts and bank drops.
- Maintain all standards as outlined in the employee handbook, uniform, and grooming standards.
- Know property layout and direct guests using daily event sheets, meeting plans, and CEOs.
- Review and understand daily event sheets, meeting plans, and CEOs to respond to guest or coworker requests.
- Obtain comment cards for 30% of daily departures.
- Arrange luggage, valet, and shuttle assistance in the Guest Service Agent's absence.
Qualifications: Previous customer service experience preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and attention to detail. Typing and computer skills necessary. Supervisory background helpful. Strong organizational and information gathering skills and techniques. Outgoing personality and professional demeanor. Drive and need to work and succeed.
