We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Client Service Representative to join our team at Marshall & Sterling Inc. in the beautiful upstate New York region.

About the Role

This opportunity is open to all employee-owners with minimum one year of service with M+S at our locations, including Glens Falls, NY, Hoosick Falls, NY, Leeds, NY, Queensbury, NY, Saratoga Springs, NY, Tannersville, NY, Troy, NY, and Warrensburg, NY.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional service to clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs for the products and services our agency provides.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in insurance lines of coverage, fundamental rating, underwriting and procedural skills, as well as experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service to clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs.
  • Review policy coverage and identify areas that need enhancement and upgrading and coordinate with Account Manager.
  • Underwrite individual risk situations to ensure that they meet our agency standards and those of the insurance companies we represent.
  • Secure applications from Sales Executives and Account Managers, and/or clients for all coverages, including price quotations and comparisons for the companies we represent.
  • Manage all account transactions (including but not limited to) endorsements, binders, certificates, cancellations, ID cards and correspondence.

The role also involves reviewing policies for accuracy and completeness, updating system workflow procedures, and maintaining professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards.

The successful candidate will be a team player who can effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, both internally and externally.

Requirements
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in insurance lines of coverage, fundamental rating, underwriting and procedural skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
  • Ability to exceed expectations and demonstrate a high level of organizational ability with attention to detail.

A competitive salary range of $47,500 - $52,500 per year is offered, which may be influenced by factors such as relevant experience, education, and work location.
