Job Description:
Sage Solutions Group, a leading disaster restoration company in Livonia, Michigan, seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant. As an Administrative Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing our team's financial operations and ensuring the efficient execution of job activities. With a strong focus on accounting and administrative tasks, this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills.

About the Role:
This role involves managing various clerical and accounting duties, ensuring that our team can function smoothly. The position also requires significant travel, where you will coordinate job activities at customer locations. You can expect to spend over 50% of your year on the road.

Main Responsibilities:
* Arrange travel itineraries for job activities, including flights, hotels, and transportation
* Manage daily log sheets for labor, equipment, and material usage
* Generate accurate invoices based on usage information
* Coordinate with external service providers to meet expectations and deadlines
* Summarize daily job communications from the Project Engineer and distribute them accordingly
* Arrange meals at the job location or hotel
* Communicate effectively with adjusters, contractors, and customers
* Respond promptly to requests for service as required
* Assist in generating reports
* Use computer software, internet, cell phone, and office machines efficiently
* Maintain accurate files and records
* Complete invoices and collect payments
* Keep track of reports and sales data
* Draft professional letters with proper English and grammar
* Answer calls after hours when needed

Requirements:
* Ability to accommodate the 50% travel requirement with short notice
* Minimum 2-year college degree
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting assistant role
* QuickBooks Desktop experience is essential
* General knowledge of accounting principles
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications
* Typing skills of 50 wpm minimum
* Excellent multitasking abilities, able to switch assignments as needed
