Position Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in a vibrant casino atmosphere while strictly adhering to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds to guest inquiries regarding the menu.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of beverage offerings and any special menu items.
  • Stays updated on market trends and demonstrates proficiency in both classic and innovative beverage preparation techniques.
  • Ensures seamless service flow to guests and food servers.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Promotes premium beverage options to enhance guest experience.
  • Monitors guest behavior for signs of intoxication.
  • Anticipates guest needs and utilizes names during service interactions.
  • Delivers prompt, friendly, and professional service while communicating clearly.
  • Records all transactions accurately in the POS system.
  • Ensures timely delivery of food and beverage orders.
  • Maintains high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensures cleanliness of ashtrays and proper placement.
  • Performs bar maintenance and assists with cleaning as necessary.
  • Stocks bar supplies as needed.
  • Handles guest payments accurately.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Exhibits a courteous demeanor towards guests and team members.
  • Communicates respectfully with all guests and staff.
  • Addresses guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintains excellent attendance and flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Complies with all relevant state liquor laws and company policies.
  • Completes all required training as assigned.
  • Adheres to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Accurate cash handling skills.
  • Basic math skills for transaction processing.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must obtain necessary health and safety certifications.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must secure a valid gaming license as required.
  • Compliance with health guidelines regarding PPE is mandatory.
  • Participation in training related to health and safety protocols is required.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle various tasks with hands, and communicate effectively. Employees may occasionally lift heavy items and must have good vision capabilities.

Work Environment:

This role is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor responsibilities. The noise level may vary, and employees may encounter smoke or other environmental factors. Regular interaction with guests and staff is expected.
