Job Summary:

The Food Service Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing assistance in building cooking skills, nutritional meal plan education, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care to help individuals achieve their recovery goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare residents' meals, ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet.
  • Partner with nursing staff and individuals to plan and prepare meals, considering individual dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation of special diets.
  • Prepare weekly menus for review by the Nurse Manager.
  • Train individuals in nutrition, menu planning, food preparation, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, kitchen appliances, and storage areas.
  • Order and shop for food supplies in partnership with individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with budgetary provisions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Safe Serve Certificate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Computer skills required
