Job Title: Food Service Technician

COMHAR, Inc. is a not-for-profit community-based health and human service organization founded in 1975. We are seeking a skilled Food Service Technician to join our team at COMHAR's Long Term Structured Residences (LTSR).

Job Summary:

The Food Service Technician will work in a therapeutic program designed to provide 24/7 residential and intensive treatment supports for adults with psychiatric and health-related needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and providing training to individuals in nutrition, menu planning, and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve balanced and nutritious meals to residents
  • Maintain proper documentation of special diets and menu planning
  • Train individuals in nutrition, menu planning, and food preparation
  • Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Order and shop for food supplies in partnership with individuals
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Safe Serve Certificate
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
