Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Neurosurgery Nurse Educator to join our team at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will serve as an expert resource and clinical practice consultant to the healthcare team, patients, and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based educational programs and activities to promote professional competency and role performance for nursing and non-licensed clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership across the system to lead and evaluate quality and educational initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the healthcare team on perioperative neurosurgery best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to nursing education and practice.
Requirements:
  • Licensure to practice nursing in the state of Illinois.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist focus preferred. Doctorate in Nursing Practice desirable.
  • Board certification in area of clinical specialty or in Nursing Professional Development when eligible.
  • Five years operating room experience preferred.
