The Director of Assisted Living is responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of residents in our Assisted Living community. Key Responsibilities- Direct the health and wellness programs for Assisted Living residents, including assessments, medication management, and daily living needs.
- Supervise and train nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Collaborate with the Director of Post-Acute Services and Director of Health Services to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement care plans in conjunction with residents and their families.
- Facilitate resident meetings and provide feedback and concerns in a timely manner.
- Coordinate pharmacy and medication needs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and external healthcare providers.
- Supervise and participate in performing treatment regimens per physician orders.
- Lead and ensure resident medical records and chart information are maintained according to state guidelines.
- Assist in training nursing assistants in activities of daily living assistance, pharmacy/medication policies, and other health-related training needs.
- Provide support in the interview and selection process for nursing assistants and licensed staff.
- Ensure employees' need for CPR/First Aid training meets state regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all orientation and training requirements are met as required by state regulations and company policy.
- Serve as weekend management and provide coverage and on-call duties as needed.
- Assist in organizing and directing marketing programs for the campus.
- Execute strategies to build alliances with key referral sources.
- Serve on various committees of the health campus as required and appointed by the Executive Director.
- Attend and participate in annual company required in-service training programs.
- LPN with a degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current unencumbered LPN license in the state of practice.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Valid drivers' license and ability to operate a large van/bus vehicle.
