Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs by creating classroom activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Model best practices and support the teaching team in achieving success through guidance and mentorship.
  • Design individual and group activities that are age-appropriate to actively engage children and promote their social, cognitive, and emotional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment, including upholding hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Commit to personal professional development to promote continuous improvement in quality of education.

Qualifications

  • Technical College Early Childhood Education Certificate or enrollment in an Early Childhood Education Program.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a childcare environment.
  • Completion of all mandatory annual training.
