About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our dentists and hygienists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Distribute and collect completed documentation from patients, including medical history, and ensure that all necessary information is accurately recorded.
  • Treatment Room Preparation: Set up and break down treatment rooms, clean and sterilize equipment and instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments, ensuring that they are in good working condition and meet the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Office Policies: Uphold office policies, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations, to ensure the confidentiality and safety of our patients and staff.
  • Patient Communication: Greet and escort patients into operatories, and escort them out, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure the cleanliness and organization of our office.
  • Medical History Review: Review medical history and input information into our patient management system, and ask initial consult questions from patients, recording their responses and taking intra-oral pictures for our dentists.
  • X-Ray Services: Take clinically appropriate X-rays and obtain and review necessary consent for patient treatment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Training: Completion of Dental Assisting Program preferred
  • Certifications: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - required, X-ray certificate required
