As an Imaging Assistant at EmergeOrtho, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Radiology Department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Transporting patients safely and promptly to and from the Radiology Department, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Performing patient screenings prior to studies, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Assisting clinical staff members as needed, providing exceptional support and communication.
  • Preparing patients for studies by dressing them according to safety protocols, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Completing screening processes on all patients prior to studies, maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ensuring laboratory results are received as indicated by study requirements, facilitating timely and accurate processing.
  • Transmitting images to third-party radiology groups for interpretation, utilizing imaging software to ensure seamless communication.
  • Maintaining stock inventory and ordering supplies as directed by the Clinical Manager, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Communicating with outside facilities and third-party participants to request and maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining compliance with Infection Control guidelines and OSHA mandates, upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum one year of customer service experience in a medical office setting or other fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications.
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
