About the Role

EmergeOrtho is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a comprehensive musculoskeletal setting. As an Imaging Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Transportation: Safely and promptly transport patients to and from the Radiology Department, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Patient Screening: Conduct thorough screenings prior to studies, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Study Preparation: Prepare patients for studies by dressing them according to safety protocols.
  • Lab Result Management: Ensure laboratory results are received and processed as required by study protocols.
  • Order Management: Verify that all studies have correct orders and insurance authorizations on file prior to patient arrival and transmit to third-party radiology groups.
  • Imaging Software Utilization: Use imaging software to transmit images to third-party radiology groups for study interpretation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain stock inventory and complete ordering as directed by the Clinical Manager.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Communicate with outside facilities and third-party participants to request and maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance.
  • Infection Control: Maintain compliance with Infection Control guidelines.
  • OSHA Compliance: Comply with all OSHA mandates.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required and assigned by the Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum one year of customer service experience in a medical office setting or other fast-paced work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications, knowledge of practice management and word processing software.
