Job Summary

Columbia Helicopters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Helicopter Pilot to serve as Command Pilot for our international and domestic flight operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, as well as providing leadership and guidance to our pilots and support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Operations
    • Operate aircraft to the highest standard of safety and efficiency, utilizing sound aeronautical decision making, risk management, and situational awareness.
    • Perform work in accordance with company policies, regulations, and guidance.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Orchestrate the flight operations and activities of all personnel under your scope of responsibility.
    • Represent the company in a positive manner in all activities.
    • Promote Columbia Helicopters' core values and integrity while conducting your duties.
  • Project Coordination
    • Coordinate and support the project team, performing any required administrative tasks.
    • Assist in the overall success of the operation.
    • Keep Columbia Helicopters' management and other interested stakeholders informed of job activities or other relevant information.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Serve as Project Lead in the absence of the Site Manager.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations, VP of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Assistant Chief Pilot.
Requirements
  • Commercial Pilot License or higher with Rotorcraft Helicopter class rating.
  • Current Class II (or higher) FAA medical certification.
  • Currency in the appropriate type aircraft.
  • Type rating(s) as required by aircraft.
  • US or equivalent passport.
  • At least 1,000 hours PIC.
  • Long-line Part 133 qualification.
  • Ability to work in austere environments for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team and high stress environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
