Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia department.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Prepare and sterilize equipment and supplies as needed
- Assist in direct patient care under the supervision of physicians or allied health personnel
- Coordinate patient monitoring and equipment availability with PACU and Critical Care Units
- Assist with patient transport to the operating room and PACU/ICU
- Perform cleaning, sterilization, and decontamination of anesthesia-related items
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of equipment quality checks
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of six months previous Anesthesia tech experience within the last three years or graduate of Anesthesia Tech program
- Understanding of Anesthesia department equipment, procedures, and principles of asepsis
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical ability, including ability to lift 45 lbs. from overhead position
- Ability to bend and walk in narrow spaces without contaminating sterile supplies
- Good peripheral vision and ability to stand or walk continuously
- Command of English language and legible handwriting
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within the job description and department policies
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians as a Certified Anesthesia Technician
