As a COTA, you will work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans and provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to help children improve their fine motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans designed by a licensed Occupational Therapist to help children achieve functional independence in daily activities.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to help children improve their fine motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate and detailed therapy notes.
- Collaborate with the OT to modify treatment plans as needed to meet patient goals.
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers to educate them on therapeutic exercises and activities for home practice.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Texas.
- Bilingual skills a plus (English/Spanish preferred).
- Previous experience working with pediatric patients is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
